Book Title: UndeadlyAuthor: Michele VailBook Series: The Reaper Diaries, Book 1Genres: YA, ParanormalRelease Date: July 10, 2005
The day I turned 16, my boyfriend-to-be died. I brought him back to life. Then things got a little weird...
Molly Bartolucci wants to blend in, date hottie Rick and keep her zombie-raising abilities on the down-low. Then the god Anubis chooses her to become a reaper—and she accidentally undoes the work of another reaper, Rath. Within days, she's shipped off to the Nekyia Academy, an elite boarding school that trains the best necromancers in the world. And her personal reaping tutor? Rath.
Life at Nekyia has its plusses. Molly has her own personal ghoul, for one. Rick follows her there out of the blue, for another...except, there's something a little off about him. When students at the academy start to die and Rath disappears, Molly starts to wonder if anything is as it seems. Only one thing is certain — Molly's got an undeadly knack for finding trouble...
I love this cover so much. The subtle storm in the background, but also how the strands of her hair are caught in the wind. I like her expression. I like the tattoo-like markings on her skin. All together it's simply gorgeous.
I like the cover too. I really like when hair is blowing in the wind on covers. I know that it is a bit weird, but I like it. :)
ReplyDeleteIf it's weird, then were both weird cuz I love it too! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI think I love the Poison Princess cover the most. I have a thing for fire, I think, haha
ReplyDeleteFire is lovely, I agree. It took me a while to pick between those two.

To be honest, my enthusiasm for Undeadly died a little bit when I read the synopsis. But you just can't deny the beauty of the cover!
DeleteJoining in is not a problem. I LOVE your meme. Look forward to the hunt for cover gold each week!
I have seen The Savage Blue by Zoraida Córdova on several blogs now. I am happy to see a Latina author getting mentioned and reviewed on book blogs now.
