This Week's Topic/Question:

Are your reviews more of a rehash of the story or do you comment on writing style, characters, and reflection? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

My Answer:

Simply rehashing would feel too much like a book report; book reports are homework — not fun. I prefer to just write whatever it is I feel after finishing the book. If I loved it, I gush about why it's awesome. If I hate it, I rant about why I disliked it.

I also try to include comments about the writing style and any other impressions I have. I do take notes as I progress, so those thoughts make it into my review. But honestly, I've really got no method to it; that's not how my mind works. I prefer to just write and see where my mind takes me.
